Attorney John Prettyman attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst and Suffolk University Law School. His practice focuses primarily on civil matters, and he has experience practicing in the Probate and Family Court, the Southeast Housing Court and the District Court on a variety of matters.
Within the Probate Court, he has handled divorces, guardianship cases, visitation and parenting time issues as well as the probate of wills. Attorney Prettyman also spends a significant portion of his time in the Housing Court working on landlord/tenant cases where the Court has developed its own set of rules and procedures. This part of his practice is generally focused on residential and commercial landlord representation. Outside of litigation, Attorney Prettyman enjoys working with his clients to guide them through the various pitfalls and challenges contained in any legal matter. Throughout his legal practice, Attorney Prettyman has always strived to maintain a good rapport with both the client and opposing party. |
